Results: 4th Skelmanthorpe Slow Melody & Ensemble

There was a great turn out of performers at Skelmanthorpe recently.

Skelmanthorpe

The 4th Annual Skelmanthorpe Slow Melody and Ensemble Competition was held at the weekend, and once again attracted an excellent entry of performers.

58 players representing 15 different bands from across the North of England, provided a full day’s worth of musical entertainment for the large audience.

Impressed

Adjudicator, Leigh Baker, commented on how impressed he was with the overall standard of playing, especially in the 14 & under and Open sections.

Leigh rounded the enjoyable day off by taking part, drawing out the cornet and producing an 'interesting' rendition of the Djibuti National Anthem4BR

Great fun

As usual there was some great fun in the Ensemble section, and especially the 'Random' section where the swanee whistle caused problems in particular. Leigh rounded the enjoyable day off by taking part, drawing out the cornet and producing an 'interesting' rendition of the Djibuti National Anthem!
