New quartet at Grimethorpe

Another top band rings the changes, with a quartet of new players at Grimethorpe.

Grimethorpe Colliery Band has announced four new recruits to the band in time for their appearance at Brass in Concert.

Full time

Ian Yates who assisted the band at the British Open has joined on a full time basis and is joined by Mathew Broadbent, formerly of Sellers International Band on Bb tuba.

Meanwhile, Ben Richeton joins on the solo cornet bench from Hammonds Saltaire and Richard Carradus comes in on cornet from Hepworth.

All four players bring experience to the band and Mathew, Ben and Richard will make their contest debuts at the forthcoming Brass in Concert ContestBand Manager, Terry Webster
