The current Norwegian champion, Eikanger-Bjørsvik has turned to Professor David King to take the band to the European Championships in Linz in Austria next year.

Eikanger retained its Norwegian National title in Bergen in February under the direction of Black Dyke's Dr Nicholas Childs, but with the Welshman conducting the 2009 English and British champions in Linz next year, the Norwegians have turned to the 10 time title winning Australian.
