New Cornish cream

The Cornwall Youth Band has welcomed plenty of new members to enjoy the delightes of Garry Cutt and Richard Evans this year.

The Cornwall Youth Brass Band have begun their new season by welcoming thirteen new musicians to the band.

Activity

The total of eighty players are drawn from 23 parent brass bands around Cornwall, membership being an extra musical activity for the musicians, all aged between 10 and 20 years of age.

Return

This season sees the return of guest conductors, Garry Cutt and Richard Evans. At Christmas, Garry will be joined by trombonist Lisa Sarsini, who will be flying in from Italy for the Course. Richard will be joining the Band for the Easter Course.

Following pre season auditions, Stephanie Wilkins was selected as the new principal cornet of the band.
