Berga Brass of Stockholm has discovered composer Phil Lawrence, thank's to their conductor's friendship with Frank Renton.

Frank told 4BR: "Per contacted me looking for new music which still speaks lyrically, and having known Phil for many years he was the first composer I could recommend who thinks outside the brass band compositional box."

Per then contacted Phil and asked permission to play his new 'Bach Variations' which Frank had recommended. Per immediately wrote back to Phil saying just how much he and the band had enjoyed playing the work
