Saturday the 5th of September was a very special day for two people in Boscombe.
The two hundred plus congregation stood for the entry of the bride and bridesmaids, but not to the music of Mendelssohn's wedding march.
Singing Eagles
The Boscombe Band of The Salvation Army, conducted by John Ward, filled the church with the glorious sound of Paul Lovett-Cooper's 'Where Eagles Sing'.
The Bride, Karen Marshallsay was joined in matrimony to Adrian Whittingham and this was their choice of music.
Short of numbers
The Boscombe band provided pre- wedding music and also accompanied all the hymns, and whilst the cornet section appeared to be a little under strength, one has to remember that the Bride plays first cornet,
the Bridegroom is repiano cornet, the Best Man Kevin is assistant principal cornet and the groom's father Gerald plays flugel horn!
