Canterbury has a new “Marster”

Canterbury Brass has a new website, a new musical director and a new sponsorship.

The 2008 New Zealand Champion of Champions Tyme Marsters has been appointed as the new Musical Director of Canterbury Brass.

Band Chairman Kevin McMorran said, “I am delighted with this appointment; this is a very exciting time for the Band”.

Already plans have been developed for concerts, individual development within the Band, and improving contest results.

I am looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead of rebuilding the band, working with some fantastic musicians and leading Canterbury Brass into a prominent place in NZ banding.Tyme Marsters.

New Sponsorship

The other important news is that the Band has secured a new sponsorship with Leopard Coachlines. The Band will now be known as Leopard Coachlines Canterbury Brass.

Kevin McMorran said, “Obtaining such a wonderful sponsorship in such difficult economic times is tremendousl news; we look forward to building an excellent relationship with the company”.
