The death of former Black Dyke tenor horn player Gordon Sutcliffe has been announced.
The death of Gordon Sutcliffe, the former Black Dyke Mills Band solo horn player has been announced.
His funeral takes place today, Thursday 9th July at Queensbury Parish Church.
Solo horn
Gordon was a member of the Black Dyke Mills Band from 1942 to 1965 — 23 years of which 18 were as solo horn. A small group of ex members are to play the hymns at the funeral.
