The Newport Borough Band from South Wales is proactively seeking to progress in the years to come.
Under the guidance of Alun Hathaway, the band has progressed in recent years and has embarked on a development plan to secure its future.
Training
Earlier this year the band took steps to re-establish its Training Band under the tutelage of Kate James, and is now thriving with a core number of about 20. It is hoped to enter them into the Crosskeys Youth Brass Band Festival in January next year run by Gwent Music Support Service.
