Torquay announce details

The deatails of the 63rd SWBBA Torquay contest have been released.

The 63rd SWBBA Contest will be held in Torquay on November 7th.

Entry to the Championships is open to member and non-member bands with 2009 national grading being recognised.

The test pieces have been announced as follows:

Open Section: (Championship & First) Own Choice

Second Section: 'The Aeronauts' (Goff Richards)

Third Section: 'Haslemere Suite' (Peter Graham)

Fourth Section: 'Four Little Maids' (John Carr)

Youth Section: Own Choice March (not exceeding 4 minutes) and
'Little Suite for Brass No.1' (Malcolm Arnold)

Training Band Section: Own Choice of any music not exceeding 10 minutes

Adjudicator: Barry Thompson
