Royal audience for Eikanger

Norwegian Champions has been playing to the royals of late.

The Eikanger-Bjørsvik Band recently enjoyed playing band to their Majesties King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway.

Royal tour

The royals toured the county of Hordaland and thousands of people greeted the couple as they toured the fiords in the royal ship, 'Norge'.

Celebration concert

During a celebration concert Eikanger performed a number of pieces and accompanied both a children´s choir and several talented musicians from the area.

At the end of the concert, the King was overheard saying: "Is it over already?"4BR

Most of the music was arranged for the occasion by EBML´s soprano player Frode Rydland and Musical Director Reid Gilje.
