McCann brings touch of magic to Hathern

Cornet star on spellbinding form to help Hathern celebrate.

McCann

The Hathern Band was delighted recently to welcome cornet soloist Philip McCann at their recent concert in Loughborough.

25 years

Hathern's friendship with Philip began 25 years ago when he officially opened their Bandroom, and he has returned many times since to perform with the Band.

Each performance was a delight, and everyone was spellbound by his playing on seven solo items plus an encore on the post hornHathern Band

Spellbound

Hathern Band and MD, David Newman, were in good form with their solo items, but it was the superb playing of Phillip was hugely appreciated by the packed audience.

Each performance was a delight, and everyone was spellbound by his playing on seven solo items plus an encore on the post horn.

Debut

The Hathern organisation now comprises four bands (Training, Youth, Concert and Senior) and it was a very exciting evening for percussionist Jake Baum (10) of the Youth Band as he made his debut with the Senior Band.
