1st: £2,000 plus the British Open Gold Trophy.
2nd: £1,250 plus the Frank Parker Memorial Cup.
3rd: £600 plus the Harry Mortimer Trophy.
4th: £400 plus the Edrich Siebert Memorial Trophy.
5th: £300
6th: £200

The Iles Medal was awarded to Richard Evans.

Only two adjudicators were used at the contest, the first time since 1957.

Woodfalls and Solent Concert were relegated.

The first two movements from "An Epic Symphony" Plus "Fusions" were used together. "Fusions" was cut in two places due to time constraints.

Stannington Brass Band

May 23 • A rare opportunity has arisen to join one of Sheffield's leading bands with a vacancy for an EEb TUBA PLAYER to complete our bass section. We have a good band room atmosphere and a calendar of interesting concerts and contests.


Horbury Victoria Band

May 22 • BBb Bass to join in our music making under MD Andy Furmidge. Hathersage Brass Band is a non-contesting band whose friendly members enjoy performing at Village Galas and Fetes as well as several Christmas concerts.
