1st: £250 plus £2,000 Gold Challenge Trophy.
2nd: £150 plus The Frank Parker Memorial Cup.

Each member of the winning band received engraved certificates.

The Iles Medal was not awarded at the contest but was awarded at an earlier date to Col. Bernard Adams.

Skellerup Woolston from New Zealand were invited to compete at the contest.
