  The North American Brass Band Summer School is like no other in the world

The North American Brass Band Summer School (NABBSS) is offering the opportunity for players to enjoy a wonderful musical experience and to be part of the world famous Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo.

Outstanding tutors

NABBSS was founded in 2014 and has gone on to attract participants from all over the banding globe — with a outstanding line-up of tutors headed by Dr Robert Childs alongside David Childs and backed by a team that includes Cory Principal Cornet Tom Hutchinson.

The provisional schedule for the 2019 course which takes place from June 26th to July 6th to is already in place. Participants must be aged 19 on June 26th.

Tens of thousands

Speaking to 4BR, Dr Childs said that the course and its band has now become an integral part of the International Tattoo, an event that attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year.

"We are delighted to offer a warm welcome to new and returning delegates for the course.

It is an experience like no other in the banding world — with the opportunity not only to work with remarkable musicians but to be part of an event with a true world wide reputation."

Wantage Silver Band

August 22 • Wantage Concert Brass (1st Section) are looking for a SOLO HORN and PERCUSSIONIST. Under the direction of our dynamic and inspiring MD Daniel Hall. This year we achieved 3rd at the L&SC regionals. We rehearse Tue & Fri 7:30pm- 9:30pm in our own bandhall

August 20 • Front Row Cornet & Tenor Trombone. We're a friendly, ambitious Second Section band based in South East Northumberland just north of Blyth. We rehearse Tuesdays & Thursdays, 19:30-21:30, and transport can be provided depending on location.

August 18 • Putney and Wimbledon Band are looking for a percussionist, ideally tune although the ability to play an anvil is an absolute must! We play exciting music with lots of percussion so there's plenty to keep you occupied.
