Aveley & Newham head for Preston

Aveley & Newham to take Rothwell's place at English Nationals.

4BR has been informed by the organisers of the English National Championships, that Aveley & Newham Band will now compete in the contest at Preston Guild Hall on the 27th June.

Taking the place

The band will take the place of Yorkshire Regional Champions and recent Grand Shield winners Rothwell Temperance, who pulled out this week.

Selling well

The organisers report that tickets for the event (£15 & £10) are selling well with a great deal of interest created by the line up of top bands and the new Paul Lovatt-Cooper test piece, 'Within Blue Empires.'
