Leicestershire Co-op (Snibston) Band's Sam Scutt and Graham Jacklin recently took first place in the Duet class at the Leicestershire Brass Band Association open solo & quartet competition at Groby.

Awards

In the same class, Nick Lear and Richard Capstack were second and other prizes went to Steve Barham, picking up second in the Open Air Varie and a third in the Slow Melody class.

Other notable performances for the band came from Milli Jacklin, 4th and Harry Lear 5th. Also taking part were Bethan Brown, Jack Brown, Marina Slee, Francis Gallimore, Lucy Capstack, Joanne McDonald, Jack Rudin and Iain McDonald.
