The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain is currently at Harrogate Ladies College for their 2009 Easter Course, where its new principal players have been announced.

Concerts

The band conclude their course with what are certain to be a spectacular concerts on Saturday 11th April at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester and Sunday 12th April at The Royal Hall, in Harrogate. Both concerts start at 7.30pm.

Direction

The concerts will be directed by the NYBBGB's Artistic Director, Bramwell Tovey who will also feature as the soloist in his composition, 'Pictures in Smoke'.

The NYBBGB programme will also include 'John O’Gaunt' by Gilbert Vinter, 'My Strength, My Tower' by Dean Goffin and 'Laudate Dominum' by Edward Gregson.

North SomerCommunity Brass

March 13 • Cornet and bass players required. We are a fun and relaxed non contesting band and are looking to swell our numbers. Players of any instrument will be very warmly welcomed, but we would really love some more cornets and basses (instruments available).
