Final line up for Co-op

Scottish Co-op has completed its line up for its Scottish Championship assault.

Co-op

The Scottish Co-op Band has finalised its line-up for the Scottish Championships with the announcement that Christine Millar and Lyndsay Smith have returned to the ranks.

Christine takes the flugel horn position while Lyndsay teams up with Matt Maines and Iain Chisholm in the horn section.

Not first time

This will not be the first time that Christine has played the flugel horn with the band.

Christine told 4BR: "I played flugel in the National Championships at the Royal Albert Hall in 1996 when the band won the title for the second time and I will be doing my best next week-end to ensure the band puts up a good show in Dundee."

The presence of Lyndsay and Christine in the line-up will be of great help to the band as it attempts to win the Scottish Championship for the 29th timeScottish Co-op

Delight

Lyndsay, the band's former solo horn player, returns to play second horn at the Championships. She joined the band in 1999 but has taken a break in recent years following the birth of her daughter.

Lyndsay added: "I am delighted to be able, once again, to add my experience to the band in its forthcoming concert and contest schedule."

Great help

Robert McCorkell told 4BR: "The presence of Lyndsay and Christine in the line-up will be of great help to the band as it attempts to win the Scottish Championship for the 29th time and continue the good form it showed when winning the Scottish Open Championship last November."
