David Lancaster has informed 4BR that he has decided to resign his position as Resident Conductor at Yorkshire Imperial Urquart Travel.
David told 4BR: "I have resigned my position as Resident Musical Director of Yorkshire Imps today, with immediate effect. I have enjoyed my short time with the band, particularly working alongside Richard Evans."
I also feel that the challenges which face the band at present require a much more single minded approachDavid Lancaster
Frustrating
He added: "I have been finding it increasingly frustrating to prepare the band for performances and then hand over the baton, particularly since the Imps has such a demanding contest schedule which leaves very little time to develop other projects and which consequently offers so few opportunities for me to direct the band in public performances.
"I also feel that the challenges which face the band at present require a much more single minded approach. I'd like to thank all the players for their support in recent months and wish the band every success in the future."
