Lewes based LGB Brass recently raised £1,276 for Sussex Air Ambulance at its Brass for Life charity concert.

Hosted by the Mayor of Lewes it attracted a sell-out audience of more than 250 people. LGB Brass chose to support Sussex Air Ambulance after it saved the life of a former band member, Matthew Perry, who was severely injured in a road accident last year.

Matthew and his family were in the audience, along with the Deputy Lieutenant of East Sussex, Daphne Obang, the High Sheriff of East Sussex, Hugh Burnett and Lewes MP Norman Baker.
The first half of the concert was by the LGB Brass youth ensemble, conducted by Matt Key and the second half saw the full band perform, conducted by Ian Stewart.
The concert finale, 'Sussex by the Sea', was conducted by the band's former musical director, Stan Woods.
