Kiernan set for debut

Scottish trombone star set to make conducting debut in top section in Dundee.

Kiernan

Paul Kiernan, MD of the Clackmannan Band, will make his top section conducting debut at the Scottish Regional Championships this year.

Titles

As a player, Paul won 11 regional titles, and also won the John Campbell trophy for best trombone player on 7 occasions, but this is a first he is certainly looking forward to.

Special

Paul told 4BR: "Each one of my championship wins has been special as a player, but to conduct in the Championship Section and compete against the best bands in the country is just as good. To compete at this level has been the result of hard work and commitment over the last couple of years by everyone at Clackmannan."
