Verwood Concert Brass will enjoy a high pitch boost for the forthcoming Area contest in Torquay with the return of soprano player Mark Marsh.
Swampy
'Swampy' as he is affectionately called, had been away serving in Afghanistan, but returned a week earlier than scheduled and the band are amazed that he sounds like he’s never been away.
Break a leg
A spokesperson told 4BR: "MD David Johnson and several other band members offered to ‘literally’ break a leg for him before his departure but all has turned out well in the end. What better way for him to celebrate his safe return with rehearsals all week and a weekend in Torquay with his very understanding wife Stefanie."
