Whitburn Youth band's annual solo contest will be held in the bandhall on Sunday 22nd February at 3.30pm.

Preparing

Scott Walker, cornet player and trainer of the youth band, has prepared the young soloists for the event and has secured the services of Andrew Duncan as adjudicator.

Open to all

Immediatley after the solo competition, musicans from the senior band including Chris Bradley (Principal cornet), Alex Philip (Principal Trombone) and Graham Fraser (Principal Eb Tuba) will perform solo as the results are being finalised.

The event is open to members of the public and brass band supporters who will be warmly welcomed by the organisers.
