The Enfield Brass Band has announced the appointment of John Morahan as it’s new Musical Director. John takes over the baton with immediate effect.

Band Secretary Dave Barlow told 4BR: "We feel that we have hit the jackpot by securing John’s services! Many people will know John through his vast experience of banding at all levels, including the Championship, and the work he did to establish the School of Brass Band studies at Barnsley College."

He added: "He is a very well-connected chap and as a professional psychologist he knows what makes you tick!"
