The Kirkintilloch Band is in the final stages of preparation for their appearance at this year’s Celtic Connections Music Festival in Glasgow.

Celtic Connections is the largest winter music festival in the world, concentrating on folk and world music and attracts over 200 international artists during its two-week run.
The event is enjoyed by thousands of people in a variety of venues throughout the city and Kirkintilloch's performance will be the first appearance of a brass band at the Festival.
The band will perform as part of the Martin Green Machine, the folk-jazz ensemble headed by BBC Radio 2 Folk Musician of the Year4BR

The band will perform as part of the Martin Green Machine, the folk-jazz ensemble headed by BBC Radio 2 Folk Musician of the Year.
The band will be performing excerpts from a newly-commissioned work – Monstre – a 45 minute work for brass and folk band composed by Martin with support from the Scottish Arts Council.
