Manger Musikklag will be conducted by Peter Szilvay at the Norwegian National Championships in Bergen in a couple of weeks time.
The orchestral conductor has a degree in viola playing and conducting from the Norwegian Academy of Music, and has an impressive CV.
Conductor in residence
He was conductor in residence with the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra from 1998 to 2000, and was artistic director with the Norwegian Army Band in Bergen from 2000 to 2003.
In 1998 he won the Norwegian 'Conductor of the Year' competition which led to him working as international renowned Maris Jansons assistant, a position he filled for three years.

Peter is known for his versatility, ranging from classical composers like Haydn and Verdi to contemporary music.
