Eikanger prepare for 60th celebrations

The reigning Norwegian champion Eikanger Bjorsvik has told 4BR that they are working hard towards making 2009 a year to remember – a year in which they celebrate their 60th anniversary of their formation.

In an exclusive interview, band spokesperson Stein Skorpholm tells 4BR how they are getting on with their preparations for the forthcoming National Championships in Bergen, as well as who will be at the helm with the band as they seek to regain the European title they last won 20 years ago.

As for the current financial world climate, Stein also reveals just how Norwegian banding is coping too and thanks 4BR readers for voting their performance of ‘Riffs & Interludes’ as the best contest performance of 2008.
