It has been announced that Elland Silver Band's 20th Anniversay Annual Slow Melody & Quartet contest will take place on Sunday May 10th.

There are 5 slow melody sections, Junior quartets (16 & under) and Open age quartets.

There are idividual instrumental awards plus youngest player and adjudicators award which can be awarded to any player for any reasonOrganisers

This particular slow melody is recognised as one of the longest independant contests in England and is well known for a high standard of entry, excellent adjudicators and friendly homely atmosphere.(there are even home made cakes on offer!)

Special occassion

To make this a very special occasion, past winners in all sections are invited to attend to compete in an extra section to be held, before the final awards are given out, for the champion of champions.
