Moseley awarded high honour

New Zealand brass band icon Kevin Moseley has been recognised in the New Years Honour list.

In the release of New Year awards by the Queen, Kevin Ronald Moseley has been awarded a Queens Service Medal (QSM) for his services to brass bands.

Born and bred on the west coast of New Zealand, Kevin has been enormously involved in brass bands and the wider music community in the Marlborough District for more than 40 years.

His many areas of dedicated service to music include teaching, performance, musical direction, and being instrumental in the establishment and development of community music infrastructure.

Kevin is the 2007-2009 Musical Director of the New Zealand National Youth Band.
