The 2007-2009 National Band of New Zealand assembled in Auckland for a weekend of recording, as the band's project for 2008.

A number of works commissioned for the band over the last three years were recorded including the trombone solo “Clouds” by Anthony Ritchie. The soloist was David Bremner.

The disc will also include solos by Colin Clark on soprano and Ricky McDonnell on euphonium. Much of the repertoire recorded was that featured by the band on its tour of New Zealand in 2007.

The Musical Director, the players and the recording engineers were all well satisfied with the result and we look forward to producing a fine CD
