Lynda Nicholson, James Smith and Les Neish have told 4BR of their absolute delight and amazement at the overall standard of performances they heard at the Scottish Youth Brass Band Championships in Perth on the weekend.

Praise

All three judges were fulsome in their praise of the playing they hard by the 21 bands in the four Sections – from the under 14 year olds in the newly created Novices Section to the under 21 year olds found in the three Premier outfits.

There is something in the water north of the border it seems…
