Usk in Zep session

The young players of Usk Youth Band recently launched their first CD — with the help of a bit of Led Zeppelin and the local magistrates court.

The young members of the Usk Youth Brass Band recently launched their first CD entitled, 'Now In Session' at an invitation cheese and wine event in the famous magistrates Sessions House in Usk.

Gaol

The Court Room there is unchanged since 1877 with an impressive judge’s chair and the benches retaining their original labels for Counsel, Solicitors, Reporters and Jury. Below the dock is the passageway that once led to Usk Gaol next door.

Best behaviour

Thankfully the band and players were well behaved over the Whitsun weekend plating 16 tracks on the CD ranging from traditional brass band pieces to a version of the classic rock anthem 'Stairway to Heaven' by Led Zeppelin.
