Deano thanks

Tuba star Dean Morley has recovered from his hospital bed and is back playing, eating and drinking as before...

Morley

After being hospitalised half way through the recent Australian FABB Contest due to a dose of cellulitus, tub star Dean Morley was inundated with phone calls, texts and personal visits to his bedside by an abundance of the the brass band fraturnity from Australia, New Zealand and back home in the UK.

Huge thanks

Dean told 4BR that he'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone for their concern, kind words and offers of assistance and let them know that he is on the mend and will be back in action very soon.

Fast news

"It's amazing how fast news travels and everyone has been simply amazing. You never know how many real friends you have until something like this happens and what a great brotherhood the brass band world really is," he said.

Special thanks

An extra special thanks has to go to Deano's girlfriend Julie Woods who had the enviable task of administering medicine and giving him regular bed baths whilst he was incapacitated.

A rather large sponge was required and a lot of elbow grease! Julie will be receiving a medal of honour for services above and beyond the call of duty!
