4BR has been informed of the death of the popular administrator Terry Ince.
Terry, referred to nearly everyone in the banding world as ‘Big T’ passed away in hospital today (Saturday 1st November).
Ever present
A former secretary of the Prescott Band, he has been an ever present figure at Pontins since its inception in 1974. He was also a discreet and helpful backroom figure at contests such as the British Open, Grand Shield and North West Counties contests. He had been seriously ill for some time.

Missed
Colleague, Frank Hodges told 4BR: "It’s a very sad day for the banding world. Terry was a stalwart figure of the banding movement, not just in the North West. He was a lovely man, popular and professional in everything he did. He will be greatly missed by very many people."
Funeral details will be announced in the near future.
