Percussionist Dave Danford recently made his solo debut at London’s South Bank Centre.

Dave performed a solo recital as part of the Friday Lunch series, a series of weekly concerts which feature a range of different musical genres with an emphasis on small-scale classical and contemporary music.

Tour

The London date formed part of Dave’s autumn solo recital series which launched at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama on Friday 24th October and continues at Wales Millennium Centre on Saturday 25th.

Repertoire

The repertoire for the tour features a number of brand new commissions, including 'Mutual Marimba Music', a four-movement concert piece for marimba and piano by Peter R. Birkby and 'Nightlife', a set of three pieces for marimba and piano by Gareth Wood.
