Local trainers at Fodens

Open champions anounce plans to train their next generation of players in the local community.

The principal players of the current British Open Champion Fodens, will be holding a coaching weekend at thier local Sandbach School on the 13th and 14th December.

Speaking about the training weekend Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: "For a number of years Fodens have been actively involved in numerous training events with various youth organisations, music services as well as our annual summer school in Armagh.

He added: "It has been decided that during the weekend of the 13/14 December Fodens would run our own training event which would include sections rehearsals, master classes, full band rehearsals culminating in a concert by the delegates and Fodens tutors."

Mark concluded: "The event sees the launch of the first in a number of exciting youth projects that the band will shortly be announcing. The event will be for those under the age of 21. I have received a large number of enquiries already over the event and due to limited places people are asked to book a place soon in order to avoid disappointment."
