Santa needs some Welsh help

Santa needs some help in South Wales this year as one local authority puts out a plea to bands to help the Xmas spirit along.

Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council in South Wales has put out a plea for some brass band help.

The Council has been desperately trying to get some brass help for their raft of Santa inspired carols and hymns at various locations in the borough — so far without success.

Everyone loves to hear a brass band playing carols and hymns at Christmas, but we haven't been able to get any bands to help us so far this yearKerry Jones

Help

Kerry Jones, Special Events Officer — Cultural Services, told 4BR: "We do need some help. Everyone loves to hear a brass band playing carols and hymns at Christmas, but we haven't been able to get any bands to help us so far this year. We are only asking for a little bit of help and are willing to pay £100 for around 10 minutes work, so we thought we would get some interested bands."

Dates

So if any bands out there want to add a little Christmas cheer to local residents and pocket a nice few quid for 10 minutes work then get in touch.

Port Talbot: 14th November 5.25pm for 10 minutes on stage of the Swansea sound Roadshow (Civic Square)
Neath: 21st November – 6pm for 10 minutes on the stage of the Swansea Sound Roadshow (Neath Square)
Pontardawe: 5th December – 6.05pm for 10 minutes on the stage of the Swansea Sound Roadshow (Pontardawe Arts Centre forecourt)
