Fairey led workshop

Fairey Band members lead workshop in Durham.

Members of the Fairey Band recently traveled to Trimdon Station, near Durham to lead a Brass Day with Trimdon Concert Band.

Tuition

The day consisted of a variety of rehearsals with the Trimdon Band, as well as some other brass players from the the surrounding areas, who came to make the most of the tuition being offered.

Sectional workshops

There was also sectional workshops led by the members of the Fairey Band, and the day rounded off with a concert which was open to local supporters to come and enjoy, and included the music that had been worked on throughout the day.

Concert

As well as the Trimdon Band playing, the members of the Fairey Band that made the journey up north, contributed to the concert with a short selection of entertaining music.

The band members who led the workshop were Mark Harrison, Mike Eccles, Brian Taylor, Rebekah Caldwell, Andrew Oetegenn, Mark Bousie, Paul Coupe and Richard Evans.

Chinnor Silver

June 7 • Our Community Band is meeting on Monday {9th} and would welcome anyone who fancies an extra friendly rehearsal,with coffee and cake involved.. We rehearse in our bandroom at 11am its free and it open to all abilities.. No commitment required.


Epping Forest Band

June 6 • Epping Forest band have a vacancy for solo horn. We are a friendly 3rd section band with a variety of gigs through out the year. We have our own band hut with close to links with London Underground central line and the M11 motorway.


Chelmsford Silver Bnad

June 6 • Front row cornet, solo horn & trombone players. We are a friendly, active non competition band established 75 years performing regularly in Chelmsford & Essex. Rehearsals averaging 26 players on Wednesday evenings at Broomfield Methodist Church Chelmsford
