Seven members of Elland Silver Youth Band were recently invited to take part in the production of 'The Spy in My Family' which is to be shown on the 'Boomerang' television channel.
The filming was undertaken in the Yorkshire Television Studios in Leeds with the band involved in three scenes.
On this occasion they had to become actors and not play any actual music although they did have to be heard 'warming up' where they were billed as the Batley Community Band4BR

Long day
After a long 12 hour day recording, seven tired but excited young people returned home with the satisfaction of a 'great job done' and in the knowledge that they had represented themselves and their band in a very highly professional way.
The producer, director and all the recording staff were highly impressed with the young people involved and the programme is expected to be screened late December early January.
