The Cory Band has announced the return of tenor horn player David Cornelius.
David played a major role in the initial renaissance of Cory, as principal horn in their ‘Double’ in 2000, and their British Open win in 2002.
Missed
David stepped down from the band in 2004 because of work and family commitments. However, he is excited about joining the horn section for the Nationals and already has his part of Kenneth Downie’s 'Concertino'.
David told 4BR: "I’ve missed playing with Cory, I’ve had lots of offers to play elsewhere but always turned them down. The time is right to return and I’m really excited."

Terrific player
Bob Childs commented on David’s return by saying; "Dai is a terrific player and we are all highly delighted that his immense experience and talent will be behind our crusade in challenging for the 2008 National Championships."
David will replace Lucy Griffith who needs to take time-out due to a pending addition to the family.
