The famous Holmfirth Contest needs some new blood to help it survive — so get along and offer some help.

An Extraordinary General Meeting is to be held at The Old Bridge Hotel, Holmfirth on Sunday 14th September at 8.00p.m. to elect a new committee and officials for the Holmfirth Contest.

Any interested bands are invited to send a non-playing representative to this meeting with a view to giving this long established contest a new lease of lifeMD

Any interested bands are invited to send a non-playing representative to this meeting with a view to giving this long established contest a new lease of life. It is already hoped to increse the available prize money substantially.

Tracking down

The new organisers are also trying to track down the following trophies, which have gone missing under the previous secretary.

Harry Haigh Rose Bowl
Huddersfield and Bradford Cup
Youngest Player Trophy
