Pontins filling up nicely

The Pontins Championships start to fill up nicely.

The organisers of this year's Pontins Brass Band Championships have told 4BR that the entries are coming in very nicely for the event which takes place on the last weekend of October in Prestatyn.

Championship full

The 'full up' signs are already out for both the Harry & Margaret Mortimer Championship Section and First Section contests, whilst there are spots to be filled for the Second, Third and Fourth Section events.

If bands do wish to put their names forward for the top two sections then they should fill in an entry form and send it to me — but not with an entry feePontins organisers

Pleased

Frank Hodges told 4BR: "We are very pleased with the response so far, and we have full line ups for the top two sections already. There are places to be filled in the remaining sections, so I would ask band secretaries to get their entry forms into us as soon as possible."

Reserves

Frank also confirmed that although there is a full line up of bands in the top two sections further entry forms can be filled in and sent to him in case of any bands withdrawing in the intervening period.

"If bands do wish to put their names forward for the top two sections then they should fill in an entry form and send it to me — but not with an entry fee."
