The Kippax Band has announced three new signings on their back row.

Richard Barker joins after an 18 month break from brass banding. Having previously played with Yorkshire Imps Richard has joined on second cornet.

Lyn Howard joins on third cornet after a break too. She was previously a member of the Armthope Elmfield Band. Finally, Liam Spedding also joins on third cornet. Liam is the son of Sam Spedding, the band's flugel player. Liam previously played for Lofthouse 2000 Junior Band and Crofton Silver Junior Band.

This now means that we are virtually back to full strength prior to the up and coming Pontins ContestDavid Jackson, Kippax Band

David Jackson from the band told 4BR: "The three players join Faye Thompson on soprano andd Bob Walker on 3rd cornet who have joined in the last two months. This now means that we are virtually back to full strength prior to the up and coming Pontins Contest."
