Wilsden Band have been in celebratory mood marking the 80th birthday of their cornet player, Stanley Florence.

The long standing front row cornet player, recently celebrated his 80th Birthday, and shared this with the Band by bringing to rehearsal a selection of cakes made by Mrs Florence.

Stanley was one of the original founders of the Band on its reformation in 1981, and is still playing on the front row in today's line up. Stanley is a true gentleman, always willing to help out on anything and a great inspiration to the younger members, who think he's 'Mr Wonderful'.
