Tintwistle Band has announced the appointment of Ian Scott as their new MD.

Ian hails from Sheffield and in his playing days as a trombonist played for, amongst others, Kibworth, City of Coventry & New Lynn Citizens in New Zealand.

Having taken up the baton he has lead Kibworth, Holme and Chapeltown all to degrees of success.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Tintwistle are pleased Ian has agreed to take up the reigns and look forward to a long successful partnership. Ian's first rehearsal will be Tuesday 26th August when the band return from their summer break."
