The Snowdown Colliery Welfare Band has recently been awarded a substantial grant of £10,000 by The Coalfields Regeneration Trust scheme entitled 'Bridging the Gap'.

Mike Sole from the band told 4BR: "In partnership with Dover District Council, the award will go towrads the band purchasing some new instruments and help to get some of the local youngsters to start learning to play."
