Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band has announced the appointment of Jim Davies as their new resident conductor/MD.

Wealth of experience

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Jim brings with him a wealth of experience that will be of enormous value to the band. We have been searching for a suitable MD for a couple of years and this appointment will bring a stability that will hopefully allow Carlton Main to continue its progression."

Jim will work alongside Russell Gray in preparing Carlton Main for the British Open and the National Finals.
