New web site for Saddleworth

Want to know who is on and where — then a new website by Dave Ashworth may well be the answer.

Ashworth

A brand new web site has just been launched which covers brass band concerts within the Saddleworth area.

All of the local area Band Clubs have been contacted by David W Ashworth, who in turn, has built a site to cover all aspects of brass banding in the Saddleworth District, Concerts, Vacancies, forthcoming events etc.

Fraternity

As MD of the Boarshurst Silver Band, David felt that the banding
fraternity within Saddleworth was very rich in tradition but did not have any knowledge of who or which bands were playing or when.

As a result, Boarshurst, Delph, Diggle and Dobcross Band Clubs were all approached with a request for details of all forthcoming concerts and events which will be displayed on the site for all to have access too.

It is only right that each and every Club, has an opportunity to advertise the Concerts which they are presenting, so that visitors can select which Band they want to watch, where, and whenDave Ashworth

Fortunate

"We are very fortunate to have so many Band Clubs in this area," Dave tol 4BR: "It is only right that each and every Club, has an opportunity to advertise the Concerts which they are presenting, so that visitors can select which Band they want to watch, where, and when they want to watch it. It also unites everyone with a common goal to promote banding in this area."

The Band Concerts normally occur on Sunday evenings at each Club commencing at 8.00pm from September to May every year.

Be a part

Any band wishing to have the opportunity of playing in any of the
Saddleworth Clubs should contact the respective club via their page on the website or contact Dave who will forward the request to the relevant organizer.

The web address is www.bandconcerts.org.uk
