Circus Maximus comes to London

University of Texas Wind Ensemble set for London apperance tonight.

The famous University of Texas Wind Ensemble are set to perform the UK Premiere of Oscar winning composer John Corigliano epic work, 'Circus Maximus' at Cadogan Hall tonight.

Academy Award winner

John Corigliano’s won the Academy Award for Best Original Score in 2000 for 'The Red Violin' and this is seen as an extremely rare visit to the UK by one of the world’s leading Wind Ensembles.

Breeding ground

The UTWE is a breeding ground of the finest wind talent in the world with graduates holding positions in numerous eminent symphony orchestras across the world and each of the Washington DC-based military bands.

The concert forms part of The University of Texas Wind Ensemble's debut major European tour, with concerts in Switzerland, Austria, the UK, Luxembourg and Spain.
